stroll in our 12 hectares of gardens and woodland walks with
a variety of plants, trees, shrubs and flowers that flourish
in our mild Gulf Stream enhanced climate. Enhanced by the
natural features and contours of the valley with the trout
filled Argideen flowing throughout.
Opening hours
7 days from 8 am to dusk. Garden visitors € 6 adults, € 5
seniors, children under 12 free. A questionnaire is given to
each child under 12 to pass the time during their walk. Fishing € 20.00
half day, € 30.00 full day. |

publications a garden of many moods and aspects
overlooking Dunmanus Bay. Growth in the garden is virtually
eleven months of the year and advantage has been taken of the
benign climate to plant a very diverse range of plants from
all over the world with considerable emphasis on Southern Hemisphere
plants. Open from May to September by appointment. Every day
except Monday during the West Cork Garden Trail. Admission € 5

wildflower meadow to the amphitheatre overlooking

House and Gardens, Bantry, West Cork |
Extending to 45 acres in total on the edge of
Bantry Bay, the gardens and grounds are a wonderful mix of
formal and informal. The estate also houses the 1796 French
Armada Exhibition relating the story of the ill-fated French
attempt, inspired by Wolfe Tone and the United Irishmen, to
invade Ireland, end British rule and establish an Irish republic.
Bantry House is open to the public from March to October. Admission € 10.00
house, garden and armada centre, € 5 gardens and armada
centre only. Children under 12 free when accompanied. Special
